Why I created Sans Skincare
Sans Skincare began with my mother. During her final months of life, her skin became incredibly fragile, and I couldn’t find anything truly natural to soothe and nourish it. So I made something myself, a rich, gentle body butter crafted with love and intention. That simple act of care became the seed of this brand. I dreamed of building this company with my beautiful sister, whose strength and spark shaped so much of who I am. Life had other plans, but her loving presence is still woven into every formula, every ritual, every offering of beauty and care that this brand stands for.
Sans is for you. For the women who live with heart, whether you’re building careers, raising babies, nurturing dreams, navigating change, or rediscovering who you are. It’s for those just starting their journey, and for those who’ve already traveled far. It’s for the doers, the feelers, the curious, the tired, the tender, the wild. Women of every age, every stage.
Sans Skincare comes from a deep desire to offer women more than just clean beauty, I wanted to offer a moment of peace, a soft place to land, a way back to themselves.
For so many of us, life is filled with giving . . . to family to others. But we often forget to give that same tenderness to ourselves. I’ve walked the path of caretaking, of holding it all together, of pushing my own needs aside. And I know how vital it is to be reminded that we matter too.
That’s why I make every product with intention, plant-based and free of water, fillers, or preservatives, not just to care for the skin, but to invite stillness, simplicity, and self-connection.
Sans means “without,” and to me, it means letting go: of pressure, of perfection, of anything that doesn’t nourish.
My why is this:
To create space for women to feel seen, held, and gently guided back to their center . . . through nature, ritual, and community.
To remind us all that beauty is not something we have to become. It’s something we already are.
With love,
Renan
